Saloni Sharma is a seasoned public policy professional with over 15 years of experience in economic development in New York City. Ms. Sharma brings keen leadership abilities and an extensive background in strategic planning, fundraising, project management, and intergovernmental relations. Previously she worked at the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce where she built and oversaw the Neighborhood Economic Development Division that engaged in commercial revitalization work borough-wide. She also served as the Tourism Director for Brooklyn, developing policy recommendations, covening key stakeholders, and building strategic partnerships to promote the borough. Ms. Sharma has extensive advocacy experience with and advises on building local grassroots organizations such as merchant organizations and Business Improvement Districts and currently serves on the Gowanus rezoning oversight task force as co-chair of the Economic and Workforce Development Committee.
Ms. Sharma holds a Bachelor’s in Economics from St. Olaf College and a Master’s in Environmental Policy and Education from NYU. She is an alum of Coro Leadership NY, a highly competitive professional development network that develops future civic leaders. She was raised in Zambia where her family still lives.

Vladimir Sterlin is the co-founder and the Managing Partner of Le Roi Capital. Vladimir is a proven and deeply connected leader within the New York City Government Affairs world. Prior to Le Roi Capital, Vladimir served as the Senior Director for Community, Government Affairs and Policy at the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce where he oversaw the Government Affairs Committee, regularly convening strategic partners from the business and political communities throughout NYC. Mr. Sterlin possesses expertise in government relations, leadership and a deep commitment to community economic advancement.
Fighting for businesses throughout New York City, Vladimir was instrumental in advocating for the NYC Small Business Resource Network program remaining on the 2023 NYC approved Budget schedule. In addition, during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Mr. Sterlin orchestrated rapid reorganization towards small business recovery, spearheading efforts that enabled business owners to access vital government assistance, grants and loans. He also advises institutional partners on city and state policy matters relating to small business and economic development. Mr. Sterlin’s professional journey demonstrates his exceptional skills in policy development, government relations, and strategic planning. His ability to cultivate relationships with external stakeholders, draft compelling testimony, and lead initiatives that support businesses showcases his dedication to promoting growth and economic resilience within the community. Mr. Sterlin previously worked at the Bank of New York, Mellon, Barclays Capital and PricewaterHouseCoopers, LLP within their asset management divisions.
Mr. Sterlin is also an angel investor on endeavors that impact the economic development of underserved communities throughout the tri-state area.
Mr. Sterlin thrusted his executive level political career as Special Advisor to current Assemblymember Rodneyse Bichotte-Hermelyn; the New York State Assembly Majority Whip, Chair of the Subcommittee on Oversight of Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprises (MWBEs) representing the 42nd Assembly District of Brooklyn encompassing Ditmas Park, Flatbush, East Flatbush and Midwood. At this level, his insight lunged forward policy initiatives in Housing, Education, Governmental Operations, Health, Higher Education and Ways & Means committees.
Mr. Sterlin is a first-generation Brooklynite of Haitian heritage; he holds a Bachelors in Finance from St. John’s University, an MBA in Finance from Long Island University and a ‘Senior Executives in State and Local Government: Leading Resilient Communities’ Certificate from Harvard Kennedy School and presently a CORO Leadership New York participant.
